A Sunderland Slimming World group has help raised money for two charities after completing a series of fund raising challenges.

One slimmer who was keen to help the charity was nurse Sue Martin who has lost nearly 10st.  Sue alone raised £125 through her challenge of loosing half a stone in 2 weeks. The group who meet at St Gabriel's Church Hall raised £350 for the Alzheimer's Society.

The Slimming World group also raised £800 for Macmillan Cancer Support's Sunderland Cancer Patient Support Charity, in memory of Sue's friend Pauline who died from bowel cancer aged 55.
